What To Look For In Richmond’s Yoga Studios

In the Richmond area there are no less than 11 yoga studios. There goes your excuse that you can’t find a decent yoga studio otherwise you’d work on that New Year’s resolution to get fit.

In the Immediate Richmond Area

Illumination Dance Studio on West 15th Street has received a five star rating. Is yoga dancing? Not exactly, but they do employ similar characteristics (as a dance studio they receive five out of five stars as a rating…not sure about yoga). Yoga Accessories on South 12th Street is a great place to pick up those yoga pants you’ve been looking for. Brook Road has Like Water Yoga and West Cary Street has its own Ashtango Yoga Richmond. And finally, still in the immediate area of Richmond is Gold’s Gym (three out of five stars) on South Harvey Street and just up Cary Street from Ashtango is Yoga Source, with a three out of five star rating.

A Little Off the Beaten Path

Still in the Richmond area but not as close to Richmond as those previously mentioned you will find a unique experience in yoga studios. Mothers, childbirth, postnatal yoga and baby yoga are the specialties at OmMama, LLC on Hawthorne Avenue. Not too far from OmMama is 4025 Yoga and Wellness. Moving over toward the University of Richmond you will find another Gold’s Gym (once again three out of five stars) on Willow Lawn Drive. And closer still to the university is Om On Yoga on Libbie Avenue. Coincidentally, this final yoga studio has the best rating of all 11 mentioned; with a five out of five star rating.

So there you have it. And don’t forget to stop in at 12 Street’s Yoga Accessories to pick up the eighties reminiscent spandex, newly titled yoga pants, to complete your workout fashion accessories.
