Richmond’s Top Group Destinations

So a bunch of you have decided to visit Richmond. That sounds like fun. There is no shortage of things to do in Richmond.

Historical Sites Abound

Richmond is a hotbed of historical sites and sounds. There is in fact an entire historic district. The confederate museum, Maymont and other historical parks, the Hollywood Cemetery, the Avenue of Monuments, Agecroft Hall, the historic center and battlefield for the civil war and the war memorial will have history buff’s heads spinning. Museums abound as well: there are museums for children, aviation, Edgar Allen Poe, science, the holocaust, black history and more.

Fun For All

For some real fun and dinner for the evening, stop at The Playhouse and the whole group can take in a mystery dinner. Theaters with live performances plus endless art galleries and studios scatter the area for those wishing to enjoy some of the classier activities in Richmond. There are also a number of churches that celebrate the solemn beauty of their old school construction. Thirsty yet? If you’re in a group of adults why not grab a cold one at Main Street’s Beer

Company?

And if you’re into bowling on a Zen level, stop in at Mullan’s bowling pro shop on Shrader Road and bring home a souvenir of your travels to show off on your next bowling night out. “I visited Richmond and all I got was this stupid bowling towel” for example.
